Tina Tedesco-Vella Biography
My expertise and approach to career coaching
As a highly accomplished Career Development Practitioner and Founder of EmployCare Inc., I have dedicated my career to guiding individuals through complex career transitions and redeployment. My expertise lies in developing and implementing innovative resources and training programs for career coaches, conducting in-depth skills assessments, and providing strategic advice to management teams.
I have successfully supported redeployment efforts, helping most employees transition into new roles and empowered vulnerable populations—including people with disabilities, mental health conditions, and disadvantaged youth—by creating pathways to meaningful employment. My commitment to career development is driven by a passion for building stronger, more inclusive communities, and expanding individual’s horizons.
A holistic and client-focused coaching style
My coaching style is centred around a holistic and client-focused approach, deeply rooted in narrative theory and career development theories. I believe that every individual has a unique story that shapes their career path. By using narrative theory, I help clients explore and reframe their career stories, identify patterns, and understand how their experiences, values, and skills align with their career aspirations. This process empowers them to take control of their career narratives, fostering self-awareness and confidence in making informed career decisions.
Integrating established career development theories
I integrate established career development theories, such as Holland’s Theory of Career Choice, Super’s Life-Span Theory, and the Systems Theory Framework, to provide a comprehensive understanding of each client’s career journey. My coaching sessions are highly collaborative and tailored, focusing on assessing individual skills, interests, and values while considering the dynamic interplay of personal and environmental factors influencing career development.
An engaging and empowering coaching experience
Through active listening, empathetic engagement, and strategic questioning, I guide clients to uncover new perspectives and possibilities. I aim to create a supportive and empowering environment that enables clients to visualise their future, set realistic goals, and take actionable steps toward fulfilling careers that align with their personal and professional identities.
